Annotated Bibliography

This project serves to show various articles, chapters and whole books discussing the censorship of queer media, particularly in libraries. Books with LGBTQ+ characters, or revolve around LGBTQ+ narratives are often wrongly flagged by local (and sometimes federal) governments as being offensive or inappropriate for children, regardless of overall content. As the listed authors argue, the banning of these books not only do more harm than good, but in some cases even draw more attention towards these books, as well. The notes taken throughout this bibliography summarize each work that is cited, and hopefully entice readers to read the full versions listed.
