Final Project — Research Paper

Through this paper, I hoped to look into how well certain archives and special libraries accommodate disabled visitors. It was found that, while institutions are expected to meet the minimum requirements for disability access as listed by the ADA, many will only reach for the bare minimum when providing access and almost nothing further. Within this report, I also sought to provide additional ways to make disabled patrons feel included, as well, including highlighting prominent disabled figures through specialized displays or exhibits.
