Show a Librarian Essay
The idea behind this project was to explore a library I was not familiar with. Because I couldn’t go into the Lancaster Community Library—I’d been working there for about 4 or 5 years at that point—I opted to examine the Northumberland Public Library. Over the course of two visits, I was able to view the library’s main building, its operating software, and sit down with the library’s director, who provided me with a copy of the organization’s policy manual to peruse, as well.
